Alexandra Hjortswang started her life in the non profit sector in the spring of 2013 when she together with some friends started a larping organisation in Malmö. The organisation became members in Sverok and one year later Alexandra was elected chairman of the district Sverok Skåne.

Soon Alexandra also became involved in the project Spelens hus, a project financed by the city of Malmö with the ambition of creating a physical meet up spot for gaming organisations in Malmö. Alexandra was elected vice chairman of the organisation and after a couple of years moved over to the role as treasurer.

 

In the autumn of 2015 Alexandra was one of the initiators of Refugees Welcome to Malmö and was elected chairman when the organisation was formed. During this intense autumn Alexandra was one of the people who organised hundres of volunteers to help thousands of refugees who every week arrived at Malmö C. Refugees Welcome to Malmö was named Grass root movement of the year by Dagens opinion for their work.

In 2017 Alexandra joined the national board of Sverok and one year later she took the seat as general secretary. Sverok is one of Sweden’s largest youth organisations whose associations all over the country gather, develop and spread the gaming hobby.

Alexandra is also a member of the nomination committees of Studiefrämjandet Skåne-Blekinge, Spelens hus and Sverok Skåne.
